You can centralize your information needs, only if you work hard and if you can dream. There is no other way around it. No one else can put in the effort for your dream. It is your dream!
Let's find out more about "Structure vs. Content".
Content
Information is usually provided to us in the form of content: an article, a web page like this one, a document, a video, a picture and many, many others.
Structure
The information structure is conceptually above the content. Information structure is represented through many layers.
Layers can be exemplified by format, subjective interpretation, categories, fields, source, priorities, destination, usage, status, connection, etc. (The list is evolving along with the times we live and with us.)
Our minds find it much easier to work with structured information, because our mind is also structured.
Our understanding is better and clearer with every layer we define.
Let's see how the A, B and C categories below look compared to a simple enumeration.
Unstructured:
Layers help to make information: ready to be put to use, establish statuses, categories, etc., make it easier to understand, memorable, faster to find, sort the information.
Structured:
Layers help to make information:
A) Useful:
- ready to be put to use
- establish statuses, categories, etc.
B) Stand out in our mind:
- make it easier to understand
- memorable
C) Accessible:
- faster to find
- sort the information
